Step 1
Make sure you have a cozy and inviting toddler bed. Have their favorite blankie, stuffed animal and pillow in place when it is your toddler's bedtime.
-
Step 2
Explain to your youngster that he or she is growing into a big boy or girl, and the toddler bed is a better choice than the crib for a growing child. Explain to them that their new bed is safe and secure.
-
Step 3
When it is time for bed, tuck your baby in securely. Read a bedtime story and kiss them goodnight. Re-iterate that the brand new toddler bed is a safe and secure place. Your little boy or girl may get out of bed a few times once they figure out that they are no longer refrained to the crib.
-
Step 4
Be patient, kids grow up to fast as it is.
