Step 1
Tuna Melts make a great summer sandwich treat and it is fairly easy to make. You will need whole wheat or white bread, 1-2 cans of solid white tuna in water, ½ cup mayonnaise, 2 sliced summer tomatoes, 4-6 slices of bacon, American cheese and a hot grill. If you want something a bit more filling, you can use a hoagie roll in place of the bread and you can bake in the oven wrapped in foil.

Step 2
Mix tuna with mayonnaise and spread across bread generously, next cook bacon until crisp, place two slices of bacon on top of tuna, and add two slices of American cheese, and two slices of the tomato. Place sandwich on grill with two slices of butter, cook about 3-5 minutes each side.

Step 3
Serve with potato chips and a cool drink. You can eliminate the bacon if you want something a bit more plain. A ice cold pitcher of Lemonade really hits the spot on a warm summer day. Enjoy!!
