Instructions

    • 1

Lie down and place a cooled tea bag or a sliced cucumber over each eye for about 20 minutes. Their coolness can reduce the discolored blood vessels under your eyes that cause the darkness.

    • 2

Grate or juice a potato. Dip a cotton swap or a cotton ball in the potato juice and apply it around the dark area of your eyes . Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase, which is used in many skin-lightening cosmetic products.

    • 3

Sleep on a couple of pillows. Fluid that forms under your eyes can result in puffiness that makes the skin under your eyes look dark, so keep your head elevated at night.

Wear a concealer to hide the darkness under your eyes. Visit a makeup counter and ask the salesperson which color concealer is right for you. Don't use makeup that contains salicylic or glycolic acid, which can irritate the skin.
