If you are thinking about becoming a physician assistant, you will need to thoroughly research physician assistant programs before you apply. Follow this guide in order to easily locate physician assistant programs.

  1. Step 1

    The first step in finding physician assistant programs is to make sure that you are only looking at accredited programs. The accrediting body for physician assistant programs in the United States is the American Academy of Physician Assistants. You will need to access their website, there is a link to the site beneath this article.

  2. Step 2

    In the middle of the page, you will see a link that reads "Education and Certification." Let your mouse hover over that link and you will see a drop down menu appear.

  3. Step 3

    From the drop down menu, you will need to click on the link that reads "Physician Assistant Programs."

  4. Step 4

    Within the very first paragraph of this new page you will see a hyperlink that reads "Accredited Programs," click on this link and you will be taken to a page which will give you information about all of the accredited physician assistant programs in the U.S. Good Luck with your studies.
