Things You'll Need:
- Foundation
- Loose Powder
- Water Proof Mascara
- Eye Shadow
- A long lasting lip color
- Lip gloss or Chap Stick
- Blush/Bronzer
-
Step 1
Make sure you are using the right cosmetics. Use waterproof mascara, and finish your foundation with a translucent loose powder. You should also use loose power throughout the day for your touch ups. Although much less convenient than compacts, loose powder will keep your makeup looking fresh throughout the day without looking caked on.
-
Step 2
If you are using creams or moisturizers around your eye area, make sure to powder it dry before you apply your eye shadow. Excess moisture in the eye area will only cause your eye shadow and liner to run, causing you excess trips to the powder room for touch ups.
-
Step 3
When applying your eye shadow use a simple pattern that will be easy to touch up half way through the day. Using a dark color to the crease, and light color from crease to brow works great. It also helps to stroke a little of your dark colored shadow under your eyes. It’ll give you that smoky look, and it will camouflage the mess if your liner runs a little.
-
Step 4
Use a stay the day lipstick that’s darker than you normally wear. Put it on and wait five minutes, just long enough for it stain your lips. Then use some tissue and wipe the lipstick off and cover over with a chap stick or lip gloss. That way the lipstick stains your lips and adds just the right amount of color and you won’t have to worry about it rubbing off on your glass, or wearing unevenly throughout the day.
-
Step 5
Using a lighter color blush will keep you from looking over done when reapply it after touching up your powder.
