Paint a Castle on Children's Bedroom Wall

Do you have a little princess in your life who would love to have a fairytale castle painted on her bedroom wall, but you don't want to pay a king's ransome for it?

Even if you cannot draw a straight line, you can easily paint a masterpiece for the little princess in your life!

In this article, you will learn how to paint a charming fairytale castle on your child's bedroom wall using inexpensive materials.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Inexpensive projector from a craft store
  • An image of a castle that you would like to paint on the wall
  • Craft paints
  • Brushes
  • A wall in need of some fairytale decorations
  1. Step 1

Go to the craft store. There you will be able to gather all the materials. Most large craft stores carry inexpensive image projectors for about $20.00.

  2. Step 2

Prepare your canvas: Make sure your wall space is thoroughly clean and dry.

  3. Step 3

Set up your projector so that your image is the size you want it to be on the space you are painting. You can move the projector closer to make the image smaller or farther back to achieve a larger image.

  4. Step 4

Use the image projected on the wall as your guide. Simply trace what you see and paint the castle!

Tips & Warnings
  • Realize you do not have to be Van Gogh to be successful at this.
  • Choose an image that is fairly simple and has well defined lines, such as a cartoon image rather than a real photograph.
  • Use water based paints for easier clean up and faster drying.
