After you have dried apples in the fall, you will need to store the dehydrated apples properly in order to have them last for a long time.   1. Vacuum Sealer

      Allow the dehydrated apples to cool completely after drying.

      Place the dehydrated apples into a vacuum sealer bag and seal as directed on the manufacturer's instructions for the vacuum sealer.

      Store the dehydrated apples in a cool, dark place such as a pantry closet, basement or root cellar for up to nine months. Dehydrated apples can also last up to a year if frozen.

    Ziplock Bags

      Place the dehydrated apples into a ziplock bag and squeeze gently to remove most of the air.

      Stick a straw into the edge of the bag and then seal the bag closed except for where the straw is.

      Suck the remaining air out of the bag using the straw.

      Carefully remove the straw and seal the edge of the bag.

      Place the bag of dehydrated apples into a cool, dark place or in the freezer for longer storage.
