How to Wear Soccer Gear
Soccer is an active sport and involves a lot of running. Players are always moving from one place to another, hardly ever standing still for an extended period of time, except for the goalkeeper. It can be fun and challenging. However, to ensure that the soccer player stays safe, it's important to wear the appropriate gear during game time and even practices. Soccer gear can not only protect a player, but it can also help the ones on the sidelines decipher who is on what team by the colors they wear.

1
Consult with the rest of the team if playing soccer as a team sport. Each player should be wearing the same color jersey and socks.
-
2
Purchase and wear shin guards to protect the shins. Be sure the shin guards fit the length of the shin without moving around or becoming dislocated.
-
-
3
Wear soccer socks over the shin guards. Socks should be longer than the shin guards and fit snugly around the guard itself, stopping just below the knee.
-
4
Dress in soccer shorts that can be purchased at local sporting goods stores. Be sure these shorts do not have pockets as they can sometimes be snagged by another player.
-
5
Wear soccer cleats. Cleats are safer than regular shoes as the cleats can dig into the ground to help prevent slipping and sliding while running up and down the field.
-
6
Put on gloves when playing goalkeeper. Gloves will not only protect the hands in cold weather but also guarantee a better grip on the soccer ball.
