Instructions

    • 1

Scoop the vanilla ice cream into a large food processor or blender, and blend until it is smooth and creamy. You may need to allow the ice cream to soften for a few minutes before you can blend it.

    • 2

Pour 1 cup sugar over the sliced fruit and stir well. Allow the fruit to sit for a few minutes to thicken. This step is necessary only if you plan to use fruit to flavor your ice cream. If you are using candy or nuts, the sugar can be omitted.

    • 3

Add the sliced fruit, candy pieces or nuts to the vanilla ice cream and blend again. You can add anything you like to the ice cream---these are just a few options.

    • 4

Pour the flavored ice cream into a container, and place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.
