Instructions

    • 1

Switch off the computer and projector before making the connections.

    • 2

If you are using a desktop computer, disconnect the monitor cable to free up the video port for the projector's cable. If you are using a laptop, simply plug the projector's video cable into your computer's video-out port. You may need an adapter if your computer has a DVI port and the projector uses a VGA cable. If you don't want to use audio and/or remote mouse control, skip to Step 5.

If you also want to play audio from your computer, connect the audio cable from the projector or external speakers into the audio-out port on your computer (identified by a head-phone symbol). This connection is optional: The computer speakers will play the audio without such a connection. If you just want to display video and audio, skip to Step 5.

If the projector supports remote mouse control, disconnect the mouse from the computer and use the mouse cable provided with the projector to connect it to your computer. This connection is optional: a standard mouse can be used to operate the computer.

Connect the power cables of computer and projector and switch on the power supply.

    • 6

Use your computer's "Displays" control panel to make adjustments to the screen resolution. If you are using a laptop, you may want to turn on "Video mirroring," which displays the same things on the laptop screen and the projector screen.

Tips & Warnings

  • Read the projector's manual for its operation and extra feature to operate. Always distance the projector from the computer to avoid interference. Provide enough ventilation space around the projector. The lamps can get very hot.

  • Never handle the cables with the power supply connected to both computers and projector. Do not use projectors for viewing movies on a regular basis, as that can diminish the life of the costly lamp in the projector.
