How to Design a Hat Online

Accessorizing an outfit with a hat can make all the difference for an outfit. You can create your own custom hats online for a small fee. If you are an artist, you can design your own hat online to create a more personal wardrobe. In minutes, you can design a hat, which will later be delivered straight to your door.

Instructions

1. Visit the Lids website and allow the page to load. Click on "Custom Hats" at the top of the screen. See Resources for a link.

2. Choose a style on the left side of the screen under "Choose Your Style." You have options of adjustable hats, fitted hats, stretch fit hats, bucket caps, visors, knits and kid's hats.

3. Click on the style that you wish for your hat.

4. After choosing the style, choose a color. Some designs will come in pinstripes and other designs. Select a size.

5. Click on "Customize Product" on the right side of the screen after selecting your color.

6. Change your product color below the image of the hat if desired. Use the design lab on the right side of the screen to add designs to the front, back and both sides of the hat. You could add text, graphics, prime designs or both text and a design. All text, designs, graphics and artwork cost extra. If desired, you may also add custom artwork for an extra fee. Click "Back to Design Overview" when finished customizing.

7. Click on "Add to Cart" below the design lab screen on the right side of the page. Continue shopping or check out. Choose whether to sign up or to continue without creating an account.

8. Submit all of your information and payment information into the proper fields. Continue your checkout to finalize your order.
