How to Use Microsoft Money 2007
Microsoft Money 2007 is a financial management software application. For budget management, Microsoft Money 2007 includes an online bill-paying function so that you can pay bills electronically and show bill payment history. For financial planning, Microsoft Money 2007 can connect to financial institutions to access information about your checking and savings accounts, loans and investments. To use Microsoft Money 2007 you must set up one or more accounts.

Click the "Start" button, point to "All Programs," then click the "Microsoft Money 2007" icon. This opens the Microsoft Money 2007 main window.

Click the "Banking" tab in the Microsoft Money main window, then click the "Add a new account" link in the left-side navigation. This starts the new account setup process.

Click the radio button next to the type of account you want to set up. You may set up a banking, credit card, investment, bill payment service provider or other type of account. Click the "Next" button to continue.

Select your financial institution from the list of institutions already included. If your financial institution is not on the list, select "My bank or brokerage isn't listed." Click the "Next" button to continue.

Type the name of the bank or other financial institution for the account if needed. You may be prompted to enter online sign-in information if you selected online access features during the Microsoft Money 2007 installation process.

Follow the prompts. Depending on the type of account you are setting up, Microsoft Money 2007 might ask for different types of information, such as physical addresses and phone numbers, before finishing the setup process for each account.

Add more accounts following the steps above. When you have set up all your accounts, you are ready to begin managing your finances using Microsoft Money 2007.
