- .018 beading wire Standard key ring (1.5-inch diameter) Clear tape Wire cutters Crimp bead Crimping pliers 3- or 4-mm beads (any colors or styles) Ruler

Cut a 7-inch length of beading wire. Place a small piece of clear tape onto one end of the wire to prevent the beads from falling off the wire while you are stringing them.

Determine the order desired for stringing the beads. Begin stringing the beads onto the wire. Fill the wire with beads, leaving approximately 1 inch of beading wire empty on both ends. Remove the clear tape.

Loop the wire ends around the key ring and pass the wire ends back through the crimp bead again. Pull the wires taut so there are no gaps along the wire between the beads.

Crimp the crimp bead with the crimping pliers. Clip any excess wire extending out from the crimped crimp bead to finish the beaded key chain.
