Step 1
Pick a theme for all your wedding stationary. You can choose from religious, whimsical, garden, favorite poetry, flower, beach, modern and romantic themes.

Select wedding clip art, a personalized photo and a font or excerpt from wedding stationary software that will be used on your stationary supplies. The design and font you pick can be matched on all your pieces.

Make a list of the types of stationary you need. See Tips for ideas.

Choose wedding invitation paper, card stock or blank stationary.

Select invitation wording with your fiance. Take notes on what you both want the invitation to say. Be sure to include the location, time and date of the ceremony.

Prepare the wedding invitation on the computer and print out one copy. If you both agree on the format and appearance, print off the number of invitations that you will need. If using card stock, feed only 15 to 20 sheets of it into the computer printer at one time.

Use a bone folder to smooth a crisp folding line into the invitations and cards as needed. Score a straight line down the center of the paper product twice and then fold the stationary piece.

Design and print your insert cards, wedding programs, thank you cards and other stationary as you need them.
