How to Design a Quad Racing T Shirt
Quad racing is a fun and adventurous sport for people of all ages, and what better way to show your excitement about quad racing, and pride about your quad racing team, than designing your own quad racing T-shirt. Designing and ordering your own T-shirts is easier than it seems and can be very inexpensive if the T-shirts are printed using a print-on-demand company.

1
Utilize a graphics program, such as Adobe Photoshop. You can find the full version of Adobe Photoshop at a software store, or download a trial version online at the Adobe website (see Resources below). The trial version has all the tools necessary to create your custom quad racing T-shirts. Download or install the Photoshop program onto your home computer.

2
Start a new file in Adobe Photoshop. Click on the word "File" near the top, left-hand side of the screen. A list of choices will drop down. Click on the word "New" from the list. A new window will appear containing entry blanks requiring dimensions for the new image file. For a quad racing T-shirt, the dimensions are 2000 pixels in height, 2000 pixels in width and 300 DPI in resolution. When all these dimensions have been entered in, click "OK."

Add a picture to your T-shirt. To find a picture that you can use legally, go to a website that offers free stock photography and artwork, such as Fotosearch (see Resources below). Choose a picture and right click on it. When a list of choices appears, select "Copy Image" from the list. Then go back into the Photoshop program, and click "Edit" at the top of the screen. A drop-down list will appear. Click "Paste" in the list. The picture will appear inside your image. To move the picture, click on the "Arrow" tool inside the toolbox, which is a vertical box containing tools that you can use to design your image. The "Arrow" tool looks like a little arrow. Once you click on it, you can move the pasted picture around inside the image.
-
4
Write a message on your custom quad racing T-shirt. Inside the toolbox, click the "Text" tool, which looks like the letter "T." Clicking on this tool will allow you to stretch a box across your image, which you can then type inside. You can type in your team's name, number or even a supportive quad-racing message. To change the look of the text, select from a list of choices at the top of the screen, such as font type, font size and font color.
-
5
Save a copy of your quad racing T-shirt design onto your computer. Click "File" at the top of the screen, then click "Save As." A new window will appear with a blank followed by a list of file type choices. You can name your image file whatever you like, though choosing a file name that you can remember is always a good idea. Click on the list of file type choices, and select the file type JPEG from the list, then click "OK."
-
6
Upload the new design onto a print-on-demand website that will print out the T-shirts as you need them, such as Cafepress (see Resources below). On the main page of Cafepress, click on the link that is called "Create custom T-shirts & More." When this page loads, you can upload your image using the simple Cafepress image loader, select the items that you would like the image to be on, and order the quantity of T-shirts that you want.
