Lower the blind all the way down, until there is no more bundled material at the bottom of the shade. Open the canned air, and hold the nozzle away from your face. Begin spraying from the top of the shades down toward the bottom. This will get rid of any build up on the top of the shade that would stick to a feather duster.
-
2
Use the feather duster to brush over gently every panel of fabric from one side to the other. This will get rid of any type of residual build up that the canned air may have missed and will help to loosen any caked on dust or build up.

Wipe gently from side to side, starting at the top panel of material to remove all the remaining buildup and dust. Rinse the damp rag every few swipes so you may avoid reapplying the dust and dirt in other places on the blinds. Continue down the entire length of the shade to ensure that all the dust and dirt have been removed.

Leave the shades down until the dampness has worn off and all areas are completely dry. When the shade has dried, pull it back up into the desired length.

Tips & Warnings
If a white or light-colored Roman Blind is being cleaned, always use a white cloth. Sometimes when using dark cloths, the dye can transfer to the blinds and ruin the coloring. For darker colors, the color of the rag is of no consequence.
If your Roman Blinds are rubber backed, it is much simpler and less time consuming to remove the blinds from the window and place in a warm bathtub with no detergent. Gently rub your hands over the fabric to remove any dirt, and then rinse and allow them to hang dry.
