How to Ease Newborn Hiccups
Hiccups occur frequently in babies younger than 6 months old, and have been shown to occur even in the womb. Hiccups in babies are harmless, although doctors are unsure why they happen so often among infants. You can try a few things to help ease your baby's hiccups.

Check to see if your baby needs to be burped. Swallowing too much air may cause hiccups.

Change positions if your baby starts to hiccup during feeding, try changing positions. Do not resume feeding until the hiccups have subsided.

Feed your baby a small amount of warm water in a bottle.

Feed your baby less, but feed him more often. Overfeeding at each feeding may cause hiccups.

Experiment with the nipple size of the bottle you use to feed your baby in order to prevent too much air from being swallowed. The right size should release steady drips of milk when tilted, as opposed to a stream of milk, or none at all.

Tips & Warnings
If none of these tips cures your infant’s hiccups, you will have to wait them out.
Please do not scare your baby in order to cure the hiccups.
