Step 1
Wing corkscrews are one of the most common and easiest way to open a bottle of wine.
-
Step 2
First, using the pointed end of the cork screw, remove the paper/foil from the top of the wine bottle. I cut right around the cork here but another even cleaner method would be to cut around the top of the bottle opening. Either way works great.
-
Step 3
Once you have the paper/foil removed, stick the pointed end of the corkscrew on top of the cork. Let the arms or 'wings' of the cork screw hang down. Start screwing into the cork and you'll see the wings start to lift.
-
Step 4
When the wings get all the way to the top you can stop....
-
Step 5
Be sure the bottle is on a firm, level surface and push the wings down. I'm using one hand here because I had to hold the camera with the other :-) I highly, highly recommend using two hands. One hand on the left wing, one hand on the right and push down evenly. You'll have better control of the bottle and make the job easier.

Step 6
As you push the wings down, you'll see the cork pull right out of the hole!!
