4. After your done talking with the new person, try to write down their name a couple times. This will be good reference and also good repetition and practice for remembering their name.

5. Try to get a business card or some reference that sticks out for this person and why they are important. This could be a business reference or contact, or a funny story they told. Relating this to the name will give you something to remember the person by besides their face.
