      Fill the sink or bathtub with cold water and add 2 to 3 tbsp. of hair shampoo. Shampoo is good for silk, as it feed the proteins that are in the fabric.

      Submerge the blouse in the water and allow it to soak for up to 20 minutes.

      Hand wash the blouse by rubbing it against itself in the soapy water. If there are areas that are stained, add shampoo to those areas and gently work it in with your fingers.

      Rinse the blouse in cold, clean water to remove the soap. Be thorough, so you don't leave a residue behind.

      Lay a clean, dry towel on a flat surface and lay the blouse on top of it. Place a second towel over the blouse and roll the blouse up into the towels to help to remove excess water.

      Unroll the towels and remove the blouse. Lay the blouse out flat to dry.
