How to Deselect in Photoshop
When editing a digital image in Photoshop, specific areas of the picture can be selected. When selected, editing commands can be applied just to those selected areas. It is also possible to select the entire image. Selecting portions of the picture can be done with many of the Photoshop tools, such as the Marquee tools, Lasso tools and Pen tools. When an area is selected, it will be surrounded with a dotted line. When you no longer want the area selected, you must deselect to remove the dotted lines.
