Instructions

  1. Focus on the Eyes

    • 1

Apply foundation over your entire face, including eyelids and under the eyes. This allows your eye makeup to go on smoother and helps it last throughout the ceremony and reception.

    • 2

Brush on face powder with a fluffy brush to set the foundation.

    • 3

Sweep a very light pink blush (for pink skin tones) or peach (for yellow skin tones) along the hollows of your cheeks with a fluffy makeup brush. Make sure that the edges of the blush blend in with the powder so there are no harsh lines.

    • 4

Line lips with a nude lip pencil and apply a layer of nude, light pink or frosted lip gloss.

    • 5

Line eyes with black liquid liner. Those with fair skin may opt for a chocolate brown liner. Make sure that the line is thin and right against your lash line. A line that is too thick will look harsh.

    • 6

Sweep a transparent white shadow across the entire lid, from the lash line to the brow bone. Apply a pink, peach or lavender eye shadow to the lid, stopping at the crease. Put a line of tan, taupe or light brown shadow in the crease of the eye for definition.

    • 7

Finish the look by curling the lashes and sweeping on two coats of waterproof mascara.

    Focus on the Lips

    • 8

      Follow Step 1-3 above.

    • 9

Line eyes with brown liquid eyeliner. Sweep pink, lavender or peach eye shadow across the lid to the crease. Curl the lashes and apply one coat of waterproof mascara.

    • 10

Choose your lip color. With lips, you can choose a more dramatic color, such as red or plum, as long as the rest of your makeup is muted.

    • 11

Line lips with a liner that matches your lipstick. Fill in the area inside the outline with liner.

    • 12

Apply a coat of lipstick and finish with a shiny lip gloss.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pastels are always an easy color choice for wedding makeup.
