How to Use Eggnog

Many people think of the holidays when they hear the word eggnog. Tasty eggnog does not have to be limited to the holidays, nor does it have to be limited to a beverage. You can use eggnog in many different types of recipes and dishes. Buy eggnog during the holidays, and freeze it to use during other months of the year. You can enjoy eggnog decaffeinated coffee in the evenings while watching television. Serve eggnog instant pudding for a quick family dessert. Try a delicious eggnog smoothie on a hot summer day.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Coffee maker Decaffeinated coffee Eggnog Dash of finely ground cinnamon Coffee mug 1 medium package instant chocolate pudding Mixer Bowl Large spoon Individual serving pudding dishes Plastic wrap Finely ground nutmeg 2 large sliced ripe bananas 1 tablespoon honey 1/4 cup orange juice Flat rubber spatula 4 chilled drinking glasses 4 thin orange garnish slices

    Eggnog Decaffeinated Coffee

  1. Step 1

    Prepare decaffeinated coffee in a regular coffee maker.

  2. Step 2

    Pour coffee in a coffee mug. Add eggnog to the coffee, instead of traditional coffee creamer. Stir coffee and eggnog with a spoon.

  3. Step 3

    Add a dash of finely ground cinnamon, and serve hot.

  4. Chocolate Eggnog Instant Pudding

  5. Step 1

    Open the package of instant chocolate pudding. Empty the contents into a mixing bowl. Substitute eggnog for the amount of milk recommended on the pudding box directions.

  6. Step 2

    Mix the pudding until well-blended with the mixer.Spoon the chocolate eggnog instant pudding into individual serving pudding dishes.

  7. Step 3

    Cover the dishes with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for the amount of time recommended on the pudding box directions or until set.

  8. Step 4

    Remove plastic wrapping, and serve chilled.

  9. Eggnog Banana Smoothie

  10. Step 1

    Combine 1 cup of eggnog, bananas, honey and orange juice in a blender. Turn blender on medium speed to begin blending.

  11. Step 2

    Turn off blender. Scrape sides of blender with flat, rubber spatula while blending ingredients. Turn blender back on. Continue blending until smooth. Turn off blender.

  12. Step 3

    Pour eggnog banana smoothie into four chilled drinking glasses. Garnish with a thinly sliced orange piece.
