QuickTime video files are "MOV," "QT" and "M4V." Typically, these files can only run in the QuickTime Media Player. The Windows Media Player allows several types of file formats. However, "WMV" file type is the most common without the need of additional add-ons. Converting QuickTime files to Media Player will allow you to view the video in Windows Media Player. In addition, the conversion makes the WMV file smaller without loss of quality.       Press the "Add Media" icon. Select the QuickTime video file. Click "Open." An "Add File Summary" will display. Select the "Add More Files" button to insert additional media. Click "Start Conversion" to begin.
