How to Print Large Maps
The Internet is full of maps of all kinds. You can map a route from your house to just about anywhere in the world. Services like MapQuest and Yahoo! Maps make it easy to obtain detailed maps, directions and even satellite views of locations all over the planet. But a map is a lot more handy when you can print it.

Visit your favorite map searching site or the site where you are trying to print a large map. Select the map you want. You may want to open the map in a new window.

Click "File," "Print Preview" then click "Shrink To Fit" if you are using Internet Explorer. If using Firefox, click "File," "Print Preview" then "Scale:" and select 125 percent or higher but make sure the entire map is on the screen for printing.

Click "Custom" and enter a value if the map is being cut off at all.

Click "Print" if you are satisfied with the scaling. Your map will print to your default printer.

Tips & Warnings
If you have the "Tiling" option available on your printer, use it to print oversized maps. This option will print the map on several sheets of paper and you can then tape the pieces together to form one large map.
