How to Wear a Muffler

The muffler scarf is a trendy and easy way to accessorize. In a mere moment, your simple outfit can go from boring to eye-catching by adding any variety of muffler. Turn casual into chic by learning how to wear a muffler.

Instructions

1. Prepare your square muffler scarf by laying it flat in front of you in the shape of a diamond. Bring the top corner to its opposite on the bottom to fold it into a triangle shape.

2. Your scarf will appear in front of you as a triangle, with the center point facing downward. Grasp the left corner in your left hand and the right corner in your right hand. Bring the scarf in front of your chest, and reach behind your neck holding the two corners.

3. Bring the two corners together behind your neck and knot them or tie them into a bow. Shorten or lengthen the drop of the muffler over your chest by making the tails of your scarf longer and shorter below the knot.

4. For a triangular scarf, no fold is necessary. Start with step 2. For long, slender scarves wrap the scarf around your neck until the tails meet with little excess fabric. Knot the top two opposite corners behind your neck as in step 3.
