How to Invert Colors in Photoshop

We all know that the key to success in business advertising is grabbing people's attention quickly and holding it. One way to do this is through the use of colorful graphics. If you would like to turn your drab color photos into something bright and eye-catching you can use in your ads and brochures, you should make use of Photoshop's ability to invert colors (applies to all versions of Photoshop).

      Open Photoshop. Then go to "File" and click on "Open." Browse to the image you want to alter, select it and click "OK."

      Go to the Layers panel, right-click the layer and select "Duplicate." Select the top layer.

      Go to the "Tools" panel and select the "Magnetic Selection" tool. If there is anything in the image you don't want to change the appearance of, starting clicking around its edges using the tool. Work your way all the way around the object you want to protect, and close off the selection by clicking again on the first point.

      Go to Select, and choose "Invert. Go to "Image," then "Adjustments" and select "Invert."

      Click on the "Blending Mode" and change it from "Normal" to "Color." And there you have it. Save your image.
