Royal jelly is a nutritious fluid secreted by honey bees and used to feed larvae. Royal jelly, secreted from the heads of worker bees, is given in large quantities to a larva that has been selected to become a queen bee and in smaller amounts to the other larvae. Royal jelly is believed to have health benefits for humans as well. It is considered by some to have both antibiotic and wound healing properties when spread on the skin. Royal jelly has not been approved by the FDA and is not proven to have any healing properties.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the wound or cut. Wash the wound or cut carefully in antibacterial soap and water. Pat dry gently with a paper towel.

    • 2

Using a sterile cotton ball, dab the cut or wound with hydrogen peroxide. The wound may sting for several seconds while the peroxide oxygenates the area to promote healing.

    • 3
