How to Enable Bluetooth Devices

Bluetooth refers to a short-range wireless technology often used in headsets for cellular phones. The Bluetooth device can send and receive information, generally audio transmissions. You need to enable the Bluetooth device before you can use it.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Locate the button or menu on your device that will turn on Bluetooth. For example, on a cell phone, locate the communications menu and set your Bluetooth option to "on" or "active."

  2. Step 2

    Enable the device with which you wish to communicate, such as an earpiece or headset for a cellular phone. Turn on the earpiece and set the Bluetooth feature to "on" or "active".

  3. Step 3

    Wait for the blinking blue light. Most Bluetooth devices prompt you with a blinking blue light. When you do see it, Bluetooth is activated.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bluetooth may use additional battery power in devices like cell phones causing premature battery drain.
