How to Delete Message History in AOL Messenger

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) is a free online service that lets you communicate with your friends in real time. With the growing concern of privacy throughout the Internet and at home, as well, people have decided they don't want others to know what they are saying. Depending on the configuration of your AOL Instant Messenger, it is probably recording every chat you participate in. If this is something you're not happy about, remove it.

1. Open AOL Instant Messenger.

2. Click the "Edit" drop-down menu and select "Settings..."

3. Select the "IM Logging" tab.

4. Click the "Delete log files..." button. Your message history is erased.
