Things You'll Need:
- avocadoes
- tomatoes
- onion
- garlic
- lime juice
- sharp knife
- cutting board
- plastic wrap
- bowl with lid
- wooden spoon
- salt and pepper
- jalapenos or hot sauce optional

Step 1
Seed and chop tomatoes into 1/4 inch pieces. Dice onions a little smaller. Add both into the bowl. Add 1 tsp of minced garlic, or substitute garlic powder.

Cut avocadoes in half, remove pit. Cut into avocado lengthwise making long slices while it is still in the skin. Cut into avocado from side to side, making cubes. Scoop out into the bowl of tomatoes, onions, and garlic.

Step 3
Add lime juice to taste, and lightly stir to mix all ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste. Hot sauce or minced jalapeno peppers can be added if you like your guacamole spicy. Store guacamole in sealed container with plastic wrap pressed down on top of the guacamole to keep the avocado from turning brown.

on 7/15/2009 Thank you, thank you, PurpleAnkh. I've been wishing for a way to prevent guacamole from turning brown. Once it changes color, I'm grossed out by it and cannot eat it.
