      COFFEE GROUNDS

      The first step is to gather the grounds for your natural fertilizer. If you make coffee at home GREAT! You can use your own grounds for the organic fertilizer. If not, consider calling a local shop for their old grounds. They end up throwing these away at the end of the day and will gladly let you recycle them to use as rose fertilizer.

      DILUTE WITH WATER

      Fill a 5 gallon bucket with warm water and add half a pound of grounds. Let the concoction sit in the sun for 1 day and then pour this fertilizer over your roses.

      ADD DIRECTLY TO SOIL

      Dry the grounds in the sun or in an oven at the lowest temperature possible. Slightly dig in about 6 tablespoons of grounds near the base of the roses. Then add water. This is a great rose fertilizer but don't over do it.

      OPTIMIZE YOUR COMPOST PILE

      You can also add the grounds to your compost pile, then top with a layer of leaves, then with fresh grass clippings. Add all 3 of these in equal parts. After 3-6 months the natural compost will be nitrogen rich and ready to use as an organic rose fertilizer.
