This article will show you how to quickly delete cookies from Firefox.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Understand what internet browser cookies are.

    You can think of internet browser cookies as pieces of information that websites have stored on your browser. Some banks used browser based internet cookies to verify information about you or to help with an easier login process to aid with internet security. However there are also tracking cookies that websites and ads used to track where you have been on the internet.

  2. Step 2

    Open up Firefox.

    These directions are for Firefox 3.0, but should be similar for other versions.

  3. Step 3

    In your Firefox browser, find the "Tools" Menu.

    This should be towards the top on the left hand side of the browser just to the right of File, Edit, etc, next to the Help Menu.

  4. Step 4

    In Firefox's Tools menu, Click "Clear Private Data".

    This will open a dialog box where you can select different options of what to delete from Firefox.

  5. Step 5

    Go through the options for which data you are interested in deleteing and make sure that the box next to "Cookies" is checked.

    Uncheck anything else you do not want deleted.

  6. Step 6

    Press the button labeled "Clear Private Data Now".

    This will clear and delete cookies from your Firefox browser.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also change settings through the Tools Menu to have your cookies and other personal information deleted every time you close the browser.
