Ho'oponopono is an easy to use technique used by thousands to change harsh and harmful thoughts and situations into more harmonious events.

You can super-size your Ho'oponopono with the age-old secrets of the mantra, and the amazing power of your intent! Now is the time to believe in our own abilities.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a mala (mantra counting beads) or a bowl with 108 beans, beads, marbles or even pebbles!
  • pen
  • paper
  • a relationship you are ready to change for the better
  1. Step 1

Ho'oponopono consists of four simple thoughts that you can focus on and repeat to yourself in any situation to diffuse troublesome feelings and stress.

Here's the most thing to remember about using Ho'oponopono - it is a self healing technique more than anything else.

Let's get right into the basics of Ho'oponopono, shall we?

  2. Step 2

The Ho'oponopono is four simple phrases:

    I'm sorry
    Please forgive me
    I love you
    Thank you

"Wait a minute - there is nothing new in those phrases, I've heard them all before". That's true, you have heard this before, and that's a good thing, because you have an understanding of what they mean.

Give it a try. Close your eyes and focus on yourself. Repeat the four lines of Ho'oponopono. "I'm sorry", "Please forgive me", "I love you", "Thank you". You may find resistance, even anger, but continue to repeat these phrases: "I'm sorry", "Please forgive me", "I love you", "Thank you". You can eliminate your own self-doubting, your own persistent mind-chatter as well. It may take a little time, but each step you take brings you closer.

  3. Step 3

Are you ready to super-size your Ho'oponopono?

Get your piece of paper, and write down something about yourself, or another, that gives you concern, pain, anger, or grief. Put that paper in front of you as a guide to keep your focus.

Next take your mala (mantra beads), or if you don't have a mala get that dish full of beans or peas or beads and check your count - 108 is the magic number.

Get your focal point, look back at what you wrote on the paper, and start with your first round of Ho'oponopono. With each round take a deep breath in through the nostrils and out through your mouth. Drop one of your counting beans in the bowl. For each round thereafter breath, and drop the next bean in a bowl. As you continue you may feel your mind wander, and the good news is that if you find that your mind has wandered you have already taken the step to recognize it. Step back into repeating your phrases. The action of dropping the beans in a bowl will help you stay focused. You may also notice changes on a physical, emotional or mental level. Some report tingling, others a feeling of drifting or floating. Continue until you drop that final bean into the bowl. Give yourself a pat on the back (oh, go ahead, do it) and write down any thoughts that came up, or feeling you experienced on your paper. Put the date on it and put the paper away. You may want to look at it again at a later date, and you may be surprised that you ever had that problem in the first place.
