1. Today, more then ever, people are looking into creative ways to afford their needs and wants. One way is through bartering your goods or services in exchange for something else.
   Here are a couple ideas to begin your bartering adventure:

2. Start a local bartering blog through swapmamas.com You can swap kids clothing, toys, books, and almost anything you can think of. You can start with other parents in your neighborhood. Grow your network from there. If you are a member of any local clubs or charities, start a bartering service for members.

3. You can also use the great gift of the internet. There are tons of sites these days that you could look into. The most noteworthy thus far is Craigslist. You will want to sign on the "barter section" of the site.
   Here you can see listings of services and goods being bartered, as well as an area to post your own goods or services.

4. Accept trade credits. Most of these sites, allow you to accept a trade credit. Let's say someone would like to barter with you for a good or service you are offering. At this time, you don't need any of their goods or services. What you can do , it accept trade credits. Later when you needs something, you can use trade credits to "purchase" other goods or service.

5. Using the barter system can really assist a new small business. In the beginning, you don't have alot of capital to work with. Barter some of your services or product in exchange for the things you need for your business. I needed accounting done. Finances were low. I sing professionally. So I bartered accounting services for live music entertainment for their yearly summer party.
