How to Download Videos on a 2nd Generation iPod Nano
Although there are newer versions of the iPod Nano, the second generation still allows users to do many of the tasks that the latest iPod Nano features. One of the favorite features on an iPod Nano is the ability to find music and videos quickly. Instead of scrolling through text menus, iPod Nano users can scroll through album art or pictures that represent the videos on the iPod. This allows users to more readily find the videos and music they seek.

Open the iTunes store and select a video to purchase. In some cases, the videos are free. This is the case with many video podcasts. However, most television shows and movies need to be purchased. Purchase the movie or show and wait while it downloads onto iTunes.

Connect the iPod to the computer. After a few moments, a "Devices" menu should appear and the connected iPod icon should be visible there. Click on the iPod's icon.

Click on the "Movies," "TV Shows," or "Podcasts" tab at the top of the iTunes screen, depending on what kind of video file was just downloaded onto iTunes. Underneath the tabs, notice there are a few clickable options. Put a check next to the option that starts with the word "Sync."

Click the "Sync" button that is located on the bottom page. The downloaded video on iTunes will now begin to download on the iPod Nano.

Choose "File" and then "Sync iPod" to update. The video has now been downloaded to the 2nd generation iPod Nano and other files have been updated as well.

Tips & Warnings
Plugging a headphone into the Nano's jack automatically turns the iPod Nano on.
Touching the iPod while it is syncing could hinder the transfer of the video from iTunes to the iPod.
