How to Make Frozen Yoghourt

Sometimes there is nothing better than a mouthful of cold, tasty frozen yoghourt. It has fewer calories than ice cream, a smooth texture and is easy to make.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Greek-style yoghourt Sugar Vanilla extract Bowl Spoon Cake pan Hand-held mixer Plastic wrap
  1. Step 1

    Put desired amount of yoghourt into a bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Add 1/4 cup of sugar for every cup of yoghourt, and dump into the bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Stir the sugar and yoghourt together.

  4. Step 4

    Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, per every cup of yoghourt used, to mixture and stir.

  5. Step 5

    Pour mixture into a cake pan, cover with plastic wrap and put into the freezer.

  6. Step 6

    Check mixture to see that it is partially set. This will vary according to the batch sizes, but should take approximately 20 minutes per cup of yoghourt used.

  7. Step 7

    Scrape yoghourt from pan into a bowl.

  8. Step 8

    Blend mixture with hand-held mixer until smooth.

  9. Step 9

    Cover mixture with plastic wrap and put back into freezer.

  10. Step 10

    Eat after yoghourt has frozen through. This should take approximately three hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add different fruits to change the flavor of the frozen yoghourt. Try substituting different extracts when making the frozen yoghourt. Use different types of yoghourt for a different texture and flavor.
  • Make sure you blend the mixture at least one time to ensure a creamy texture.
