How to Remove a Garlic Smell
Garlic is a commonly used ingredient in a lot of dishes. It is good for your heart and provides a lot of added flavor. The only downside to garlic is its strong odor. This odor can remain on your breath for the rest of the day. If you were the individual who chopped the garlic, you might have trouble removing the garlic smell from your hands. Of course, the garlic will also linger in the air after you have finished eating and cleaned up. You can let the garlic smell wear off on its own, or you can remove the garlic smell yourself. Pour some baking soda in your hands and then rub your hands together. Make sure you get both sides of your hands and in between your fingers. Baking soda is well known for its ability to get rid of strong odors.

Rinse your hands off and then wash them with lemon dish soap and water. You can use any dish soap, but lemons have a pleasant smell and will cover up any leftover garlic odor.

Brush your teeth, tongue, and inside of your mouth with a baking soda toothpaste. Arm and Hammer makes a good one. If you don't have a baking soda toothpaste you can sprinkle some baking soda on your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it.

Rinse your mouth out and then use some mouthwash to get rid of any lingering garlic odors.

Set out a few bowls of vinegar in the rooms that contain the lingering garlic smell. The vinegar will absorb the odor within a few hours.

Tips & Warnings
Wear disposable gloves when working with the garlic to keep your hands from absorbing the smell. Garlic odors will also stick to stainless steel objects. If you have some stainless still spoons you can rub them all over your hands to get rid of the odor.
You can use an odor eliminating spray to get rid of the garlic smell in a room. Just make sure it isn't an air freshener because that will just add a fragrance to the garlic and not remove it.
