You can easily make your own vegan chocolate. While there are brands of chocolate that are made without animal products, in order to be certain, you can make your own at home in just a few minutes. The ingredients can be found in most health food stores. This chocolate cannot be used in recipes requiring chocolate, but it is a tasty vegan chocolate candy.
Things You'll Need
- Chocolate candy molds Food processor 6 tbsp. cocoa powder 2 tbsp. agave nectar (or other vegan liquid sweetener) 2 tbsp. coconut oil (See tip) 1/2 c. nuts (See tip)
Place all the ingredients into the food processor.
Pulse to combine to a pourable consistency.
Dust the chocolate molds with extra cocoa powder.
Pour the chocolate mix into the dusted molds.
Put the molds into the freezer in order to set. Serve chilled.
Tips & Warnings
- If you have any leftovers, keep them in the freezer. You can substitute 1/4 c. nut butter for the 1/2 c. nuts and 2 tbsp. coconut oil.
