  • 1 cup ketchup 1/2 cup onion One to two cloves of garlic 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup white vinegar 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. yellow mustard Juice of one lemon

Instructions

      Finely chop the onion and garlic. To enhance the flavor, sauté the onions in a tablespoon of olive oil, just until translucent. This will sweeten and enhance the flavor. Toward the end of the cooking process, toss in the minced garlic. Be careful to stir frequently as the garlic will burn quickly.

      Combine all ingredients in a tall sauce pot. Alter the quantities to your liking.

      Bring the mixture to a boil.

      Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

      Remove from heat and transfer to air-tight container or glass bottle with a lid for storage.
