How to make fried chicken strips

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 2/3 cups crushed saltines
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 pound boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1/2 inch strips
  • oil for frying
  1. Step 1

This chicken strips are delicious. I like the store bought one's but it seems to taste ten times better when you make them own your own. It is also so much more rewarding. In a small bowl combine the garlic salt, basil, paprika, pepper, and saltines. In another small bowl beat the egg and milk together.

  2. Step 2

You will now dip the chicken into the egg and milk mixture. Then shake off the excess. Then dip the chicken in the saltine mixture. You will repeat this process for all of the chicken strips. You could also do the whole chicken breast if you choose not to make chicken strips. You will now need an electric skillet or deep fryer.

  3. Step 3

You will need to preheat this to 375 degrees. When it reaches this temperature then begin frying the chicken strips a few at a time. This will take 2 -3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. You will need to place the chicken after it is fried onto a paper towel to drain the excess grease.
