Step 1
Use Peacock Feathers for Feather Dusters
Collect five to ten peacock feathers that are traditional length for hard to reach places or short stock for general dusting. Tie the quill end with several rubber bands to secure them together. Use the feathery end for a feather duster. -
Step 2
Use Peacock Feathers for Earrings
Collect two short stock peacock feathers (less than a foot long). Snip the end of the feathers. Seal the top seam edge with super glue. Attach the feather to an earring stud or hoop following traditional craft making instructions for making earrings with feather attachments. If the peacock feathers are very short, you can attach to the earring from the quill, without cutting. -
Step 3
Use Peacock Feathers for Decorative Large Vase
Collect three to twelve peacock feathers. Select a vase that compliments the colors in the peacock feathers and is at least 12 inches shorter than the shortest one. Stand the peacock feathers in the vase with the quill end in the bottom of the vase. You can cut the quills to make different heights for the vase arrangement. -
Step 4
Use Peacock Feathers for Rose Bud Vase
Collect one peacock feather. Place the peacock feather in a rose bud vase with the quill end in the bottom of the vase. -
Step 5
Use Peacock Feathers in Decorative Masks
Collect several short stock peacock feathers. Attach the quill with crafter’s glue to the underside of a decorative mask, allowing the feathers to adorn the face mask.

on 8/8/2009 Good ideas for using these beautiful feathers. Another idea is to use them in a painting. They can make a wondeful splash of color to a bare wall. Check out http://www.joyceturley.net/peacock_feathers.htm for an example. Thanks!
