The Pina Colada is a delicious, sweet rum based cocktail. The Pina Colada is popular drink that has been around since the 1950's. Follow the recipe instructions below to start making your own tasty Pina Coladas! Don't be afraid to try altering the recipe to fit your needs. Experiment with different types of Rum such as Captain Morgan Spiced Rum. Also consider adding pineapple juice to the recipe. Play around with the recipe until you get it exactly to your liking.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Electric Blender
  • Coconut Milk
  • Ice
  • Pineapple
  • Collins Glass
  • Straw
  • White Rum
  1. Step 1

    In a blender, pour in 3 tablespoons of coconut milk. Some may prefer the use of coconut cream instead of coconut milk citing that coconut milk is too thin for the recipe. If you prefer coconut milk for the recipe, consider adding some condensed milk to thicken it somewhat.

  2. Step 2

    Add in 3 ounces of White Rum.

  3. Step 3

    Add 3 tablespoons of crushed pineapple.

  4. Step 4

    Add 2 cups of crushed ice.

  5. Step 5

    Blend the contents together at high speed. Blend together into a smooth consistency.

    Poor the mixture into a Collins glass and add a straw. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can substitute the coconut milk with coconut cream.
  • Consider reducing the amount of ice and use frozen pineapples instead.
