Changing the Diaper
-
1
Place your baby on the changing table with a changing pad underneath. Remove pants or skirt, if applicable.
-
2
Unfasten the diaper tabs and tuck the front part of the diaper under the baby's bottom so the entire diaper is folded in half underneath the baby (with the mess inside).

3
With baby wipes, clean the baby's sensitive areas. Even if there is no stool, cleaning the diaper area front to back reduces the likelihood of spreading bacteria and creating a diaper rash. With the baby on its side, finish cleaning the buttocks.
-
4
Place the dirty wipe(s) inside the dirty diaper. Wrap the diaper and close it using the adhesive tabs on the diaper. This not only prevents spillage in your trash bag but makes cleanup as tidy as possible.
-
5
Unfold the fresh diaper, place it underneath your baby and fasten the tabs to the front of the diaper. Hopefully next time, it will be your spouse's turn.
