Things You'll Need:
- Oven or stovetop Water and dish soap (for cleanup)
-
Step 1
Use lower heat settings when cooking with Calphalon pans. The nonstick finish heats and cools more quickly than other types of cookware, and therefore, you need to adjust the heat on the stovetop accordingly. This may take a few times of trial and error before you figure out exactly what temperature on your oven is correct for the heating of the Calphalon pans.
-
Step 2
Always use coated, wood or plastic utensils with the Calphalon pans. This will ensure you don't scratch the nonstick surface on the inside. Metal utensils will cause scratching, so be sure to save those for glass or noncoated pans.
-
Step 3
Use cooking oils and sprays only for flavor. Because the Calphalon coating makes the pan nonstick, food will slide right out of it without getting stuck, making additional oil unneccessary.
-
Step 4
Wash the Calphalon pans with a mild dish detergent and a dishcloth after each use. While you can put the majority of Calphalon pans in the dishwasher, the abrasive cleaner in the dishwasher may scratch the nonstick coating, so it's a better idea to hand wash your cookware.
