Instructions

    • 1

Run your shaving brush under hot water. Badger hair brushes are preferred. Once the brush is saturated with water, place it on the counter for later.

    • 2

Position the nozzle of a glycerin-based shaving cream into your shaving mug. Push down on the dispenser, leaving shaving cream about the size of a quarter in the bottom of your mug. If you use shaving soap, position the pump portion of the soap container down into the mug, and depress the pump until you have soap that is about the size of a quarter in the bottom of your mug.

    • 3

Place the bristles of your damp brush into the bottom of the mug so that only the tips of the bristles are on top of the shaving cream. Whisk your shaving cream with your damp brush, as if you were whisking an item in the kitchen with a whisk and a mixing bowl.

    • 4

Whisk the shaving cream for about one minute, or until the shaving cream is thick and creamy. The shaving cream should now be more of a lather instead of a cream. If the cream is dry and not too lathery, add a few drops of water and whisk again for about another minute, until the cream is a lather.

    • 5

Use the brush or your fingers to apply the cream to your face and shave. Clean your brush with water after you shave.
