How to Take the Microsoft Certification Exam
With the growing demand for technical-savvy individuals in the work place, it is more important than ever to be fluent in most Microsoft-based programs, such as Word and Power Point. Simply stating you know the software on a resume, however, doesn't hold much weight, but proving it with a Microsoft Certification does. Learn how to go about taking a Microsoft Certification Exam.

Go to the Microsoft (see link in Resources). Click the orange "Start" in the middle of the screen. Select "Locate A Test Site."

Select the current country and state you reside in and click "Next." Find the testing facility most convenient for you to and click "Schedule Appointment." Select "Click Here" in the middle of the screen if you have never taken a test at a Prometric facility before. If you have, log into your account.

Fill in your information and click "Submit." Prometric will now process your information. Click "Next" after your account information has been confirmed. Select the course you wish to take, language, currency and click "Next." Select a date and time for the test and click "Next."

Fill in your payment and credit card information, and then slick "Next." Click "Submit" on the confirmation page. The test is now all set to take. Show up to the testing facility on the day of the test a few minutes before hand.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to study and review before going in to take the test. It's better to be prepared than have to pay for another test. Microsoft provides practice for the exam (see link in Resources).
