Step 1
Southern Pecan Pie: 1 Cup sugar, 3/4 cup light corn syrup, 1/2 cup margarine, 3 beaten eggs, 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 ready made deep dish pie shell, unbaked.
On medium heat combine sugar, syrup, margarine, stir until boiling.
In the bowl with the eggs, slowly blend the above mixture into the eggs,
Stir in pecans, vanilla, salt.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake in pre heated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
NOTE: If you don't want to use the one deep dish pie shell you may use tow regular pie shells. -
Step 2
Easy - Peasy Pecan Pie: 1cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup corn syrup, 1/4 cup butter, melted, 3 well beaten eggs, 1 cup chopped pecan, 1 nine inch pie crust.
Mix sugar, syrup and butter together, stir.
Add in the eggs and pecans, stir.
Pour mixture into the pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
REDUCE temp to 350 degrees and cook for 30 minutes. -
Step 3
Two Pecan Pies: 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, 4 TBS flour, 3 eggs, beaten, 1 melted stick of margarine, 2/3 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, 2 nine inch pie shells (also called crusts).
Mix all the dry ingredients well.
Add the other ingredients, mix well.
Pour into pie shells and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
