How to make cauliflower bacon salad

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 1 pound of sliced bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium green pepper, thinly chopped
  • 1 medium onion thinly chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  1. Step 1

This is a simple recipe that changes that ordinary salad blues. You will need a large bowl. You will need to cut your head of cauliflower into florets. Place to the side while you thinly chop your green pepper and onion. You can shred your own cheddar cheese or by the store bought cheddar cheese.

  2. Step 2

In a skillet on the stove top you will need to fry your one pound of bacon. You will need to cook this until it is crispy. Once your bacon is crispy remove from the heat and place the bacon on a paper towel to drain the excess grease. You will now add your chopped green pepper and onion to the bowl. You then can add your bacon once it has cooled.

  3. Step 3

In a small bowl you will need to combine your sugar and mayonnaise you can also add salt and pepper if you choose. You will now spoon this over your salad. You will then need to toss until all the salad is covered with the dressing. You will need to cover and refrigerate for at least four hours before serving. You must refrigerate all left overs.
