    Cook out are a fun and inexpensive way to spend time with the family. To have a cook out all you need is a barbecue grill and the necessities for cooking on it including the food.

    Cooking for any fairly large number of people is all about shopping in quantity. Look for items labeled family size, extra large etc.. These items may cost a bit more than the standard size but they have more in them so things even out and you end up getting a better deal. To have a cook out you only really need one or two types of meat for the main entrees and one or two side items to go with it. Here's a good way to do this for cheap.

    Stick to hamburgers, chicken or hotdogs, ribs and steak are great but more expensive. If you buy hamburger you can buy the meat and make your own which is much cheaper or you can buy frozen patties for larger amounts which is also a good deal. Frozen patties are usually boxed in quantity of about ten to twenty patties.
    Chicken can be done any number of ways but you can pick up chicken quarters for cheaper and they are generally larger. A large bag of chicken quarters usually cost about six to eight bucks.
    Hot dogs would be another option and the cheapest of all they can be bought in mass quantity's and everyone loves em. Best of all hot dogs are incredibly cheap usually two dollars or less.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy bread instead of buns that way you can use it for more than one purpose. Its cheaper and you get more.
  • Potato chips go with just about any kind of cook out especialy hamburgers and hotdogs, they stretch further and stretch your money further.
  • Buy or make your own potato or pasta salad its cheaper than the deli
